Workplace Essential Skills Program (WES)

If your goal is employment our Workplace Essential Skills program (WES) helps you develop the skills you need to succeed.

Using classroom materials tailored to various employment goals, our facilitator provides you with the foundation you need to succeed in the workforce. You'll enhance your employability skills by utilizing a range of learning tools including job placements in our social enterprises, workplace literacy development, and feedback on performance.

Employers are looking for well rounded individuals who are ready to work and have the Essential Skills that are central to success; the WES program will get you there!


Program Info:

  • 12 week program
  • Small class size
  • Work at your own pace
  • M-F 9:00 am-3:00 pm
  • Runs 4 times per year
  • No High School or GED required
  • Gain work experience in a social enterprise

2017 Dates*:
January 9, 2017 - March 31, 2017
April 24, 2017 - July 14, 2017
August 7, 2017 - October 27, 2017
November 20, 2017 - February 16, 2018 (with Christmas break)

Throughout the program you can work with our WorkLinks team to develop an employment action plan. Once you have completed the program you have access to the on-going support and resources of WorkLinks.
